Russian State Children's Library - one of the largest children's libraries in the world. Established December 30, 1969. The building is built on a unique architectural design. The location and the appointment of the premises into account the wishes of the library professionals. Above the design of reading rooms, halls, literary and music room, exhibition space the work of many designers, masters of tapestries, ceramics, cabinetmakers.

The library system is a kind of reading rooms:

  • general - for children and adolescents of all ages,
  • for specialists,
  • specialty - music library, Internet center, reference and bibliographic Bureau, literature hall art hall of literature in foreign languages, room tales, family reading room, a Pushkin Room, Music Room, study psycho-pedagogical counseling.

Large areas reserved for placing the book-illustrative exhibitions. There is a spacious recreation room and conference hall for 185 seats. In the library there are meetings with writers, different exhibitions and events.
